I need your immediate help for the GURPS:Traveller "Ground Forces" cover.  The shot has Battledress clad Marines dukeing it out with a grav tank.  Which style of battledress do you prefer?  I'm looking for a general feel from people, hoping folks aren't put off by kilted battledress.  Not having to show the groin area hard armor will make things much easier.  The biggest fault I've always had with Gibson's battledress illos is that the trooper inside wouldn't be able to move his legs at the hips for s#!t.

The following pictures originally appeared in the MT Journal #1's article "Dressed to Kill", by Tom Peters.  The illustrations are by Bryan Gibson.  No copyright infringement is intended, nor is permission granted to duplicate, copy, download, re-post, or otherwise use these images.

1.Cavalry / Commando Battledress

Lighter version of battledress.  Used by advanced elements for scouting.

2.Imperial Assault Battledress

I imagine this is what the Marines tend to use, but want to make sure of people's feelings on the cloth armor "skirt".  As an aside, this would make things MUCH easier for me as I don't have to make the groin area joints work......  =D

What do you need with your armor?  Accessories :D

Here's the 3D armor I built for the Ground Forces cover from my prop armor plans.

Another type of Battledress, this one with (apparently) built in ECM (black bulge on his right shoulder) and PDL (Point Defense Laser) on his left shoulder.  I'm not very fond of other elements of the suit though.

The other armor staple in Traveller:  Combat Armor.  Very similar to Battledress in many respects, only it's unpowered.  I plan on doing this armor as well sometime in the future :)
