(Gathered on 1110-134-16h50) The parents of Jordan are present and seem agitated by the entire situation. They have been prevented from entering the cabin by the two Starchaser employees to avoid disturbing any clues. Recent rains have turned the local ground into a slick black mud. Rain has been present daily, but only in a light drizzle. The last heavy rain was five days ago, according to detailed weather reports Dee pulled from the WorldNet during the investigation. An empty stimstick soft pack was found in the bushes near the cabin. This was placed in an evidence bag by Daniel Clay and is currently in his possession. The product is named Raggan's Blend, a common brand in the Regina Subsector. It was marked with a local merchant’s retail advertisement sticker, “Kaddy's” in the downport. The address is in the Startown district. There is no listing in the short medical file that Jordan ever used stim sticks. The fact that this is not listed does not surprise the investigators. If a person was addicted to the product, a notation might be made. If the medical evaluation was performed during a long period of time between uses, it would not show up on a scan. Five
different sets of tracks (from people, not wildlife) were discovered in
the soft mud near the cabin. One was a human accompanied by an animal, and
another set was vargr. The rest were human. The prints were captured on
holo-imager and measured, but clarity is difficult due to the age of the
tracks. The tracks showed no signs of a struggle, but do have some places
where the walkers slipped in the slick mud. The tracks look to be a heavy
athletic or hiking boot style. Scraps of a
faded pale blue thin cloth were found in brambles down a little trail in
the woods. This was not more than fifty meters from the cabin. With the
multiple strips of blue cloth was a single piece of material, bright
yellow and appearing to have come from a cold weather garment. The entrance
on the cabin showed no signs of damage or forced entry. Upon
entering the cabin, several things are noticed. The place is completely
clean, with no evidence to show that anyone was ever here except for in
the main living area, where a ski mask and goggles were left on a table.
The entire place looks to have been recently cleaned, as there is no dust
on any of the tables or decorations. There is a large door in the back of
the living area, but it is locked by a complex electronic lock. Another
narrow door near it is only a meter tall. It only has a small panel with a
simple push button panel. The place is indeed fancy, with lavish
decorations making the place have a distinct feel tailored to the family
owning it. There are paintings and holographic images lining the walls, as
well as small pieces of art on display shelves. Two of the small shelves
are empty. The kitchen is huge, with a center island, and two large
stainless steel refrigeration units in an alcove. They are full of
expensive food and beverages. A full preparation galley fit for a small
restaurant fills one side of the kitchen. A large collection of kitchen
knives are displayed on a wall rack, and one of the largest ones is
missing. The upstairs has a full half dozen rooms, and it is not to hard for Yarra to determine which room would be for Trey. Several pictures of spacecraft, speeders, and various exotic animals line the walls. The closet is nearly empty, with only a torn yellow ski jacket left hanging in the closet. A desk with a vid-comm station is in the corner, and the bed is neatly made. Yarra hears whining and whimpering sounds from the far end of the hall. Outside, the data search requested by Daniel Clay verifies the speeder as belonging to the individual listed in the data from Starchaser, Jordan N’Bor Cebralla II. Kol and Bryan are sweeping the woods in search of any clues, when they come across a small trail leading from the cabin. It looks like it cleared every so often for whoever stays at the cabin. The trail has not been cleared recently, and it has a few nasty looking tangle vines with thorns. On one of the thorn vines are two scraps of a pale blue fabric, torn from a light weight garment. It seems somewhat faded. There is another piece of fabric on a vine close by, this one is bright yellow, and seems to be more durable. Both scraps are wet from the recent rains. The trail goes for over half a klick, with more small scraps of the same blue fabric caught in every patch of thorny tangle vines.
The cabin's computer has a wealth of data in the deleted files buffer, which is where things go when they are deleted off of the sytem but the crystal is not wiped. It appears that the target (Trey) spent alot of time surfing the WorldNet when the weather was harsh. He likes hunting, exotic weapons, travel, racing grav craft, and pictures of famous people caught in embarassing positions. He also often returned to a picture of a news article showing young attractive woman who was killed in a speeder accident about four months ago. Her name was Kylie Mander, and she attended the same university as the target. Three things come up during the hour this takes Viktor: 1 - The young man was facing severe depression. He was writing dark poetry and even wrote a few suicide notes, but then deleted them. 2 - One of the poems mentions Kylie specifically, and hints that he was planning on asking her to marry him after graduation. 3 - Three days ago, he stopped surfing the net. The only data search done was for interstellar transportation to Alell/Regina, and the data has some travel brochures about the exotic black sand beaches of the nearby world. The research indicates that the passage he was shopping for was for two tickets. 4 - An email was written to the target's father letting him know to pickup Rekes from the cabin and that he would be returning home in a few months. The email was deleted, not sent.
A small plastic green wrapper was discovered by the team in the pocket of the yellow jacket with the torn sleeve. The label is marked with the numbers 64. It is known on the streets as a drug of choice for ex-military personnel for its combat drug like effects. Troops who are addicted to combat drug when they leave the service are the most common users. The stuff is known as Fury, Wildfire, or Boost in gang circles. In military/merc circles it is known as TRK64, Trick, or Six-Four.
